The world's 1st UN-recognised Local2030 Hub joins over 5,000 businesses globally in the B Corp™ community.
Liverpool, September 13, 2022: 2030hub is announcing its certification as a B Corporation (or B Corp), joining a rapidly growing group of companies reinventing business by pursuing purpose as well as profit, that also includes Patagonia, Ben & Jerry's, Danone, The Guardian and most recently Unilever.
What is B Corp Certification?
The B Corp certification process addresses the entirety of a business’ operations and covers five key impact areas of Governance, Workers, Community, Environment and Customers. The certification process is rigorous, with applicants required to reach a benchmark score of over 80 while providing evidence of socially and environmentally responsible practices relating to energy supplies, waste and water use, worker compensation, diversity and corporate transparency. To complete the certification, each company is required to legally embed this commitment to purpose beyond profit in formal company articles.

2030hub has been offering paid and pro bono support and many, many sessions to introduce B Corp since launching in 2017, helping create a pipeline of over 30+ local businesses now exploring their own certification.
