What a year! More than ever we as a city need to pull together for each other and especially those even further behind in our communities.
The ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the growing climate emergencies and increasing inequalities are just some of the many challenges the world, including Liverpool, face - and reasons why keeping the promise of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), also known as the Global Goals, is more important than ever right now.
The United Nations General Assembly in September is the only time all world leaders gather and this year it occurs at a critical moment for humanity. The time is now to mobilize the collective action we need to turn things around for people and planet. As we mark the adoption of the Global Goals, the world’s to-do list for people and the planet, we need to redouble our efforts to make them happen.
2030hub is again proud to be a formal global partner for 2021 and working with all the stakeholders of Liverpool City Region to provide a platform for our home city to shine on and learn from, whilst connecting to a worldwide tribe of city-level impact makers.
Global Goals Week: Liverpool is a working week of celebration, activism, annoucements and hope for how we as a city and city-region community create even more, and faster positive impact at home, but also as global citizens, for those struggling in communities around the world.
Liverpool - Call To Action - Time for everybody to share their impacts!
2030hub are one of 130 global partners and it is our ambition to champion the SDGs and support every single person or organisation wanting to use this framework to accelerate impact.
We will be encouraging, supporting and promoting any SDG activity from local stakeholders - we just need to know about it. Either use the #GGWLiverpool or #Liverpool2030 hashtags or send your activity to us via social media or directly to 0151 558 1066 or globalgoals@the2030hub.com
