Salt Network North West – Putting Values to Work

April 3, 2019 @ 4:30 pm - 7:00 pm

“Our greatest fear should not be of failure but of succeeding at things in life that don’t really matter.” – Francis Chan

The difficult thing is knowing what really matters and then how to put them into practice. The Christian Aid Salt Business Network has teamed up with the 2030hub in Liverpool to explore the importance of identifying and implementing our values into our businesses and workplaces.

A faith and business movement

The Salt Network provides a unique opportunity to learn about, support and engage in building sustainable solutions for the world’s most pressing issues. By uniting the strengths of Christian faith and business the Network resources and supports leaders and entrepreneurs to be the change we want to see in the world.

We will look at two broad ways in which to create a value-led business model:

  1. Embed sustainability in the business mission, and value statement in aligning sustainability with creating a sustained profit.
  2. Change the business model of the company to explicitly state that wider sustainability issues such as a B-Corporation certification or becoming a Social Enterprise.

This is an open event that welcomes all. We will discuss faith where relevant as we hold that faith offers a valuable view on sustainability and positive business practice. if you would like to discuss these matters further please contact salt@christian-aid.org
