2030hub SDG Roadshow: How Liverpool businesses can benefit
March 26, 2019 @ 8:30 am - 10:30 pm
– United Nations Development Programme
193 countries have signed up to the SDGs but real progress towards these ambitious goals must begin with individuals, coming together within their communities and acting with passion and purpose. This session is an introduction to the SDGs, how they are relevant to us here in Liverpool, how the local business community can act together and why doing so could benefit all of us.
The UK Government will be reporting back on SDG progress to the UN this summer and this will be a catalyst for accelerated integration into policy and impact across all sectors.
Making Global Goals locally relevant
2030hub was the first UN Local2030 Hub in the world and we are based here in Liverpool. Ours is a hub that connects and supports individuals and organisations united behind the Goals. As a city, we are pioneers of what can be achieved. Members of our network are already making a huge impact both locally and globally. They are also reaping the business benefits of aligining with the world’s biggest impact brand. Come along to find out how you could join them.
Who is the event for?
The session is predominantly aimed at members of the Liverpool City Region business community. Whether you are a sole trader or you represent a multinational corporation, it doesn’t matter. Members of third sector and public sector bodies are also welcome, as are students.
